Policemen ready to rumble.
By: Randy Bando (ttproleague.com).

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service football team have been granted the 'go ahead' to join this country's top football league and Head Coach Muhammed Isa can't wait to get the 'Lawmen' back in action in the top
flight.
A delighted Police coach told 'ttproleague.com', "As a team we are happy to be back at the top level locally. We are ready as a team for this massive jump. At first there was a bit of hesitation as to whether or not we were in, but now we are in, we are doing everything possible to be ready," assured the former national head coach.
Police the 2006 Super League Champions were a former member of the PFL during the 1999-2001 seasons, but didn't stay at the top level due mainly to financial constraints.
The 'Lawmen' have qualified and met the requirements to join the region's top Professional Football League this season and Coach Isa believes he has the charges for the job.
"We have been preparing for the Pro League for the last couple of months. We have had some practice matches in between and I am pleased with the performances of the guys in preparation."
"I am sticking with most of my players from last season with just the addition of two players from United Petrotrin. We have the guys that are capable of playing in the top league and they are all anxious to prove themselves," he said.
Key players in the Police line-up would be goal keeper and Captain Anthony Marcelle, defender Grayson Edwards, midfielder Jason Boodram and forwards Nari Joseph and Christopher Sam with the United Petrotrin duo of Devon Bristol and Brandon Christopher joining the ranks.
According to the Police coach Muhammed Isa another addition to the team is pending as Starworld Strikers Head Coach Michael Maurice is to join the servicemen in the capacity of coach, while Isa is expected to continue as Technical Director of the Club.
Now Isa explains his key intention is have a great season to secure his team's spot in the TT Pro League and in the process win titles.
He said, "We want to stay here in the Pro League. Our main focus is the play attractive football this season also building a solid fan base as we look to maintain our position at this level."
"Also, winning titles are what we are accustomed to, so we would want to at least win one of the titles this season," ended the Police Coach.
In 2006 the Policemen knocked Pro League powerhouse W Connection out of the FA Trophy Competition, but failed to get past their Super League compatriots WASA FC in the semi-finals.
The Policemen climb to the top dates back to 2003 in the Super League when they finished fourth. They then finished in same position in 2004 then climbed a spot higher in 2005 and in 2006 the glory came when the won the Super League showing they were worthy of a promotion to a higher level.
