Them manufacturers know who their market is. The truth is football is a religion no matter what, SM you will always be a Manu fan just like I will always back Barca. If that means buying a lame jersey I really don't mind.

T&T national kit looks good to me only because I know it the national kit.

nice shirt for sure but...

Why a new shirt after launching one just last year? The life-cycle for these shirts used to be two years, now it is one.

Makes you wonder if the Glazers are pushing for this, try to squeeze a little extra money from the fans.
THE WARRIORS WILL NOT BE DENIED.

nopes..The kit we used last year was a kit used to honour the busby babes..   The kit had the same look of the 1950's kit

Here is a short informative story:

The new(06-07) Manchester United shirt is a limited edition, one year only design (obviously to help repay the Glazer debt) and is described by the club as being "1950’s retro style – a tribute to the success of the Busby Babes and their enduring influence". The name of new sponsor AIG is far smaller than its predecessor, the domineering Vodaphone logo, resulting in a classy looking kit. There's a gold seem running along the shoulders and down the sides whilst the club crest is placed onto a white background similar to the 1997-99 European shirt. Whether it sells in large volumes is yet to be seen and may depend on whether funds are made available for any new big named signings. Interestingly, the kit is almost an exact replica of the one worn the previous season by breakaway fans' team, FC United. (Launch date July 24th 2006. Expires July 2007).

Reds launch new home kit

United have unveiled their new home kit ahead of the new season.

A giant image of the team in the new Nike-produced kit adorns the East Stand window at Old Trafford. The players will wear it for the first time during their first match of their Asia Tour against Urawa Red Diamonds in Japan later this month.

The front of the new home shirt features an engineered mesh pattern inspired by the architecture of Old Trafford and the contours of the body. On the back a flash of white tape frames the name and number with a fine black stripe, MUFC and the Red Devil emblem inside. As a final touch there is a label with the Red Devil emblem and the nickname 'The Red Devils.' White shorts and black socks complete the kit.

It has been made using Nike Dri-FIT fabric which helps transport moisture away from the skin to the fabric’s surface for rapid evaporation, keeping the players comfortable for longer. It's already a popular design with the squad and they believe the fans will be equally impressed.

"It’s very important to feel comfortable when you’re playing and hopefully this kit will be a good one for us in all types of weather conditions," Wayne Rooney told ManUtd.com.

"It’s quite simple and traditional which is the way I like the kits to be," added skipper Gary Neville. "I’m sure the fans will like it."

Fans should visit http://www.myspace.com/manutd to see more images and a behind-the-scenes video from the kit shoot with the players. Supporters can post their views on the kit and also win a signed shirt. The kit is now available to pre-order through store.manutd.com or at the Megastore, Old Trafford. It will be available for delivery and purchase from 1 August.

New Manchester United signings Nani and Anderson have both put pen to paper on five-year deals.

Portugal winger Nani, 20, and Brazil midfielder Anderson, 19, cost a combined £30m when joining from Sporting Lisbon and Porto respectively.

The pair, along with fellow new signing Owen Hargreaves, will be officially unveiled to the media soon.

Meanwhile, Polish keeper Tomasz Kuszczak also made his season-long loan from West Brom into a permanent move. :beermug:

United gained a work permit for Anderson, after their initial application was rejected as he had not played 75% of Brazil's internationals during the last two years.

United argued that Anderson, who made his Brazil debut in the Copa America defeat by Mexico last week, had been prevented by his age into filling that criteria.

They also argued that he will bring exceptional talent to the Premier League.

Nani had been linked to a move to Tottenham, but said he would only leave Sporting to join a club like United.

Kuszczak joined United on loan from West Brom last August, and as understudy to Old Trafford number Edwin van der Sar made six Premier League and five FA Cup starts last season.

Rooney harbours high hopes

Wayne Rooney spent last season desperate to get his hands on his first Premier League trophy. Now he's held the prize aloft, he can't wait to add to his medal tally.

Rooney, who joined United from Everton in August 2004 and has now won both the league and the Carling Cup with the Reds, told The Mirror he's hungry for more success.

"It's just not just about winning the odd trophy," he said. "It's about winning them all the time."

The 21-year-old striker, who last week switched squad numbers to take over the no.10 shirt previously worn by United hitmen Denis Law and Mark Hughes, said legends like those provided constant motivation.

"The [current] players know their role in keeping up the club's amazing history and success. Players in the past have set the standard: now we've got to carry it on."

Carlos Tevez has agreed to join Manchester United on loan - sources have told Sky Sports News.

The Argentine international is set to join United on a initial two-year term, with an option for a further three-year stay at Old Trafford.

It is reported that a United delegation has flown to Venezuela - where Tevez is with Argentina competing in the Copa America.

United want Tevez signed and sealed as soon as possible, so they have travelled to South America to conclude the deal.

United will be hopeful of concluding the deal within the next 48 hours.

Utd recruits 9-year-old featured on Internet
Associated Press
Posted: 1 hour ago

Manchester United has recruited a 9-year-old soccer prodigy based on video footage featuring his skills.
The club brought in Rhain Davis after his grandfather sent a DVD to United youth staff showing the boy playing for an under-10 team in Brisbane, Australia.

"Manchester United is proud of its history of developing talented young players, and invests considerable time and resources into trying to find the best young players of the future," the club said in a statement.

In Davis' case, however, United need only have invested four minutes. That is the length of a YouTube clip featuring Davis's dribbling, stepover and goal-scoring skills - viewed more than 800,000 times on the site - that has led fans to describe him as the next Wayne Rooney.

The club has downplayed such hype, pointing out that it recruits about 40 players of Davis' age every year, and that Davis' status with the club will be subject to the same annual review as any other youth player.

Davis has moved to England and is training with a United youth squad.

"Being here has been brilliant," The Sun newspaper quoted Davis as saying. "The best part has been meeting a lot of the players, like Wayne Rooney."

Davis was born in England and has a British passport. His grandfather lives in England.

The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today are Christians who acknowledge Jesus ;with their lips and walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable.
