that one is a massive gamble....I hope it works out or else we'll look very stupid....Apparently he's more an attacking midfielder than a striker..I'd prefer that

Welcome Bebe....die for the shirt

Stuff of dreams this one...I'm already seeing the movie set to release 12-15 years down the line...What an incredible story for this kid...homeless to the promised land

plenty fire power, but how d defense looking?
More importantly, how the midfield looking? Scholes is still the best midfielder by a mile...

Very curious link on the official Man Utd website:

http://www.manutd.com/default.sps?pagegid={FE60904B-C2A8-4E60-9B05-700DBBC29BBC}&section=playerProfile&teamid=&bioid=94383

Wud be funny if dey get brace  ;D

The United Web manager released a statement today saying their is a glitch in the system when a name is listed in the transfer gossip section a player ID is formed....It's happened in the past...caught me the first time big time lol

and if he brace us he is a c**t

oh well

How come when Man United and Real Madrid going for the same player, the majority of the time Real Madrid get the player. What's up with that?

Haha when has their ever been any proof that Utd were competing with Real for Ozil?

The press says what they say and create a story - but the fact is Bremen themselves have said they only received 1 bid before the sale - which was also from Real. Utd were 'linked' with Ozil - but so were Chelsea and Barca - does that mean Real beat them as well to the player?

Also, when last have Real beaten Utd to a player they truly wanted?

What big players besides Ronaldo have Utd sold that they didn't want to (whom they got 80 million for)?

Indeed Utd rarely goes for the hyped players anymore - young talent like Ozil does fit their mold though - but he's not the wizard that people who do not follow Bremen make him out to be. Whether he will reach his supposed potential and show the form that he does for Germany, or become another talent lost to Madrid's bench - remains to be seen.

thanks for saving me the typing for those pricks

I think Ozil's wages and valuation didnt sit well with United.... Fergie said he didnt see any value in the market and hinted next season he will buy a mature player (to replace Scholes) but says we have enough experience in the squad for this season and the young players are talented and hungry which I agree with

We as fans just wanted a decent signing.....Chicharito may be it...I love that kid

I taking Modric next season...only man that can replace Scholes for me... will be 25 next season can play CM and right behind a striker..and he's proved it in the prem.

And I scouting wingers too...even though I safe with Nani and Valencia

Beckham also had a starring role in the title win in his last season there.

Anyway Man U does not get into bidding wars for a big player.
Why don't they?  Ferguson probably tryin to uphold the club's reputation.
It will look real bad for them to publicly fail to land players like that.

even if we wanted a player and failed to get them, that does not mean we are gonna fail to win trophies... Man.United players has consistently proven why they are the best team in England. Ok so Chelski won last season by a POINT with all their money and big name players. whoopie doo. cyber stueps

Haha so Utd can't compete with Chelsea financially - tha eh exactly breakin news - and I see no shame in that. No shame either in gettin 12 million in compensation for a player (Mikel) that up to now has not fulfilled his much vaunted potential :)

Sure I woulda loved Essien and Robben - but if Utd had the same money that Chelsea did - who do you really tink the players would have chosen at the end of the day?

If a team beats u based on prestige das one ting - but cause they can pay more or players favour another league or country? Wa yuh go do yes.

Doh forget the players also lookin at livin in London, Madrid, Barcelona, Milan vs Manchester.
This is not as important as the club that they thinkin of playing for, but it matters for some more than others.
