Under 20 World Cup

If KND see this you know he will say "Sam, you have to much time on your hands" . But a simple WOW !! good work dread will do fine.

In that game we beat Brazil (4-2) anyone know the specific's of it ? like who scored for T&T and the line up and who played for Brazil. I think Roberto Carlos was there ?

Yeah it was in the Nat. stadium- I was there at the match.....a high point for our youth football, despite Brazil fielding somewhat of a "reserve" team. I remember Shawn Boney scoring a penalty, and I think Angus Eve & Dean Pacheco also scored.

Brazil's full strength youth team went on to cruise through the tournament only to lose to Portugal on penalty kicks in the final (that was the Portugal's golden generation of players- Figo, Rui Costa, Couto etc...), while our squad exited after the first round with 0 points, 0 goals scored and 12 conceded....a harsh crash back down to earth.... but a nice stat nevertheless....

I think we have passed our Golden generation of players too: Latapy, Yorke, Hislop, Jack, Stern etc  Not to mention players like Nakhid, Nixon, Faustin, Marcelle, Marvin Andrews.

The youth teams now have St. Kitts and all beating them.

We have also produced some of the finest football talent in our region and the world.

We have 5 footballers who played UEFA Champion's League football: Yorke, Latapy, Andrews, Nakhid and Nixon.

Ranked 7th in the world of top international goal scorers (by country): Stern John

MLS Scoring Champion (98 and 99): Stern John

The highest transfer fee for a Caribbean footballer: 12.6 million pounds for Dwight Yorke.

Top scorer in the EPL: Dwight Yorke(98-99 season)

The only Caribbean footballer to lead his team to winning the treble (Premiership title, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League): Dwight Yorke

The only Caribbean footballer to lead his team to winning 3 successive EPL titles: Dwight Yorke

Everything Yorkie touches turns to goal. In his illustrious career de man has won 10 club titles from Champions League to League Championship. Yorke take dat ball and kick it further dan any footballer from de Caribbean could reach.

Add to that captaining and leading Sydney FC to the inaugural A-league title. That achievment is underrated on dis board.

Romario couldn't do it and Juninho and the rest of the marquee ballers paling in comparison: A whole continent regards Dwight Yorke as the best thing to happen to their football.

Whatever you do, do it to the purpose; do it thoroughly, not superficially. Go to the bottom of things. Any thing half done, or half known, is in my mind, neither done nor known at all. Nay, worse, for it often misleads.
