Sunderland vs Chelsea 15-March-08.

Any predictions?

Match on Setanta 10:15am (PST, SDC) …. .

This game could be a blowout.  Chelsea must feel that they are in the grove after the drubbing of Derby, win in CL, and favorable CL draw.  Moreover nearly all of their players are fit.  Nonetheless, against all the odds I am hoping for an upset.

If Edwards plus either Yorke or Etuhu starts then at least Sunderland’s  play will be much better than in their last 3 games.  Keane also must abandon that 4-5-1 formation; 4-5-1 can work when the midfielders can at least pass the ball. So far they haven’t been able to pass  the ball ---along the ground --- to Jones.  Jones had half a chance to score in the last game and none in the previous two games.

especially since teams are figuring Sunderland's ONLY way of scoring - either Jones, or through Jones.  So double, triple, anything, but make sure Jones is NEVER free, and you basically SHUT DOWN Sunderland's offense.  Isn't that sad, and that is why the 4-5-1 isn't working anymore.  Previously teams didn't pay "much" attention to Jones (they didn't know how deadly he is), but with the addition of a few stunning goals, and Keane's big mouth to boot, Sunderland are in the mess they're in now.  Here's to Carlos doing what he does best and TEAR UP DE WING BABY!!! :beermug:

Theres a link for anybody wants it

http://www.myp2p.eu/competition.php?competitionid=&part=sports&discipline=football

Ethutu is still injured so wont be playing, which makes a mess of 451 because Whitehead will play.

451 is OK is you play it well, the goals have dried up because noone gets up to support Jones, I do think the 7-1 at Everton got to RK and he is struggling to shake it off.

The real issue is we need wins if he is not going to commit players forward we aren't going to score and if you don't score you don't win.  If we stay up I think aswell as a new players we need a new/ different coach.

i'm not feeling upbeat about this, but I don't see a blowout.

my head tells me 1-3 to Chelsea, my heart sees a 1-1 draw...

    * 01 Gordon
    * 26 Bardsley
    * 44 Evans
    * 05 Nosworthy
    * 15 Collins
    * 07 Edwards
    * 23 O'Donovan
    * 08 Whitehead
    * 18 Leadbitter
    * 20 Reid
    * 17 Jones

Substitutes

    * 32 Fulop,
    * 03 Harte,
    * 06 McShane,
    * 19 Yorke,
    * 45 Prica

Drogba (the real one) starting for Chelsea...

Whatever you do, do it to the purpose; do it thoroughly, not superficially. Go to the bottom of things. Any thing half done, or half known, is in my mind, neither done nor known at all. Nay, worse, for it often misleads.
