Local sensation Ria Ramnarine is back home and is growing in confidence ahead of her scheduled world title fight with the Japanese southpaw Etsuko Tada.

The much anticipated clash is set for the Centre of Excellence on April 24th, and Ramnarine is leaving no stone unturned in her efforts to lift the title.

Long standing match maker Boxu Potts, says he has been busy working out the finer points of both fighters, and based on what he has seen, he is almost guaranteeing a win for Ramnarine on the night.

Also down to fight on the under card of this fight will be local heavyweight Kertson Manswell, against a yet unnamed fighter, while Kevin Placide and Floyd Trumpet will battle to settle a score for the local title

Ria Ramnarine returns to Miami
Monday 5th April, 2010

Ria Ramnarine returns to Miami today to resume training at the Bonnie Canino boxing gym.

Ramnarine spent just under three weeks in training in March at the camp belonging to the former world champion.

The training camp is ahead of Ramnarine's world title fight against Japan's Etsuko Tada on April 24th.

The Canino gym boasts several left-handed fighters or southpaws, as they are called.

Ramnarine hopes the training will prepare her for the awkward Japanese fighter who is herself a south-paw.
