Thought Joevin has a groin tear and KJ has a calf strain.
Cyah see the 2 playing without serious club drama fallout and subsequent player persecution.
Time for Carlysle Mitchell to be reassessed since his recovery
Jonathan Glenn & Rundell Winchester need a taste of the ball as strikers.
Struggling Guerra has to be told this is it! Produce!!!! ... and 2nd to last chance to show the pedigree that Big Mag saw in you.
This will be a HIGH profile game on prime time American and Central American TV
Our gradually recovering but fragile brand is at stake
On the one hand we must experiment but our future progress will be determined by how much we instill fear and demand respect from our future opponents
Therefore we cyah afford to overuse green players to be eaten alive in a 80,000 sold-out stadiumt teeming with fanatical tricoloristas  in in behind-God-back UTAH with only 3 Trini juhseys in de crowd..
Fellas, Mexico bringing out dey navy seals. We hadda be ready for this one
Good luck BraveHart. Hope you sign a respectful contract so you can get what you want as you have more leverage now to demand what you want and insist on your staffers geyyin' paid.

My squad and ah did leave out some decent ones only because we need to see one or two new players, that doh mean I dont like them.

Jan-Michael Williams, Graig Ramjitsingh

Gavin Hoyte, Daneil Cyrus, Kareem Moses, Ryan Inniss, Shannon Gomez, Alvin Jones.

Cordell Cato, Joevin Jones, Andre Boucaud, Kevan George, Levi Garcia, Keron Cummings, Kadeem Corbin.

Kenwyne Jones, Trevin Caesar, Jonathan Glenn, Ricardo John.

Those guys have to get their passports first. Plus they must make themselves available. I can tell you that those who say they are interested in public to play for T&T are consistent in the actions. The coaches are on it and have contact or scouted EVERYONE that has been raised as a potential naturalized player with promise.

This not a bad side. Apart from KJ, JJ, who else is missing.  Let's hope he give J. Glenn a run, and we will see if he ready for prime time. These "fringe" players will need to step up and impress the coach that they deserve to be on the team. And playing against a top rank team like Mex. you can't ask for anything better.

Jones, Bateau, Peltier out Mexico friendly.
T&T Guardian Reports.

Soca Warriors coach Stephen Hart has recalled the quartet of Marcus Joseph, Trevin Caesar, Gavin Hoyte and Neveal Hackshaw to the national team for Friday’s international friendly against Concacaf powerhouse Mexico at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Salt Lake, Utah, from 10 pm.

It will be the second meeting between both teams in less than two months after their 4-4 Group C draw at the Concacaf Gold Cup on July 15, which has been described as the best ever match in the tournament’s history. The quartet who were not part of the T&T team which reached the quarterfinals of tournament will now have their chance to impress coach Hart after being named in the 20-man T&T squad announced by Hart at a media conference held at the T&T Football Association’s head office at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo, yesterday.

In the recent past, the 24-year-old Joseph, who has played seven times for the senior national team and is now attached to T&T Pro League champions Central FC after leading the frontline for Pt Fortin FC for a number years to great effect was said to be overlooked for national selection because of indiscipline.

However according to Hart, both him and the La Brea-born striker player, the 2013/2014 Pro League “Golden Boot” winner have held discussions and Joseph knows what is expected of him if he wants to be a fixture on the team.

According to Hart, Joseph, who last don the national colours in a 1-0 friendly loss to Panama on March 28 earlier this year, knows he has a lot of talent and is just for him to focus on his football.

The 26-year-old Caesar is currently attached to North American Soccer League club, Austin Aztex and last played for T&T against Antigua & Barbuda during the 2014 Caribbean Football Union Cup semifinal round in T&T

The 25-year-old Hoyte, who played just twice in two years under Hart, is the younger brother of 30-year-old T&T defender Justin Hoyte, and pulled out of the Jordan match last month, will now have another chance to impress Hart while Hackshaw who has one cap, last featured against Curacao in July.

The team which departs tomorrow for the Mexico contest includes regular goalkeepers, Marvin Phillip and Jan-Michael Williams, Daneil Cyrus, Yohance Marshall, Radanfah Abu Bakr, Mekeil Williams, Khaleem Hyland, Kevan George, Andre Boucaud, Joevin Jones, Cordell Cato, Keron Cummings, Willis Plaza, Jonathan Glenn, Rundell Winchester and Aubrey David.

Among the notable absentees were regular captain, Kenwyne Jones and Sheldon Bateau as well as Carlyle Mitchell and Lester Peltier.

In explaining their omissions, Hart said, both Jones (Cardiff City) and Bateau asked to be excused because of their situations with their clubs while Mitchell has only recently started back playing after returning from injury, and with regards to Peltier, he wanted to see how much depth he had in that position.

“Jones (Kenwyne) is trying to sort out his future with Cardiff City and Bateau has now joined Russian Premier Division club FC Krylia Sovetov Samara and have both asked to be excused,” he said.

The encounter between Mexico and T&T will be key to both teams as they look ahead to the start of their 2018 Russia FIFA World Cup Concacaf semifinal round qualifiers and will be the first time El Tricolor, who are under the care of interim coach, Brazilian-born Ricardo “Tuca” Ferretti will be playing in Utah.

Ferretti takes over on a temporary basis following Miguel Herrera's firing last month for an altercation in Philadelphia International Airport, with the primary goal of winning a ticket to the Confederations Cup by defeating the USA on October 10 in a Concacaf playoff at the Rose Bowl.

The match at Rio Tinto Stadium will mark the 20th encounter between the nations with Mexico leading the series with 12 wins, four draws and three losses.

Following the Mexico match, the Soca Warriors also has a confirmed engagement with Panama on October 9 and according to national teams Operations Manager, discussions are still ongoing over another possible international engagement (October 13).

Wallace also noted that the TTFA had also written to Concacaf requesting word on the possible dates for their Copa America 2016, the 100th edition, home-and-away playoff matches with Haiti which could well squad plans for the second friendly in October ahead of their semifinal round Concacaf 2018 Russia World Cup qualifying Group C opener away to the winner of the Third Round tie between Guatemala and Antigua & Barbuda on November.

Hart, is meh boy, but sometimes ah does wonder if he just happy with what he have and just not interested in trying different players, his commitment to Jan and Hyland is really let down.

I like both players eh and yes, we need them, but we need depth for down de road, because man could get injured, suspended and even block by their clubs.

We didn't need to call Marshall, Jan, Hyland and Mekeil.

Hart shoulda use this to see a few different players, Levi Garcia, Greg Ramjitsingh, Kareem Moses, Alvin Jones and Ricardo John.

Hyland is playing regular for his club now and will be fit, so we dont have to call him, keep him for the qualifiers. Same for Marshall and as they now sign for their clubs, leave them to settle in.

Levi shoulda get call, he just came back from Holland and he fit, he coulda be there just to train with de team if anything, like Corbin for de Gold Cup.

Even though Jan is de best keeper we have in T&T, we should really try and look for extra coverage, because he is inconsistent. Give  Ramjitsingh a try, he already in de US, it woulda cost much to try him as we number two.

Williams
David
Hoyte
Abu Bakr
Cyrus
Jones
Boucaud
George
Cummings
Glenn
Cato

Ah put Cummings on de right so he could cut in and shoot.

Good luck T&T.

Allyuh eh see Kamla call election same time as NY Carnival when all de Afro Trinis up here.

Good point Sam. Perhaps the Mexico game is to really put the first team through their paces with the new formation he wants? In that case, it's to see if its worth using in the qualifiers.

BraveHart gets it. He really does.
Absolutely no problem with this squad.
Just the right balance of pedigree for this formerly Goliath-like opponent with revenge and revisionism of recent history on its mind
and just the right amount of injection of newbies to learn from the pros. Other peewats can be introduced in a friendly gainst El Salvador or so.
Omissions of top players like KJ & Bateau for good reason, conveniently a time for forwards to step up without Kenwyne Jones.
Guerra smartly dumped as he will be realizing that he is approaching discardibility if he continies at this rate.
Peer pressure put on Marcus with a 2nd chance after his alleged attitude problem before Jordan. He will produce this time
He can show how hungry & disciplined he is, as now Guerra is out in de dog house looking in, and whoever is more hungry will get the spot.

Is long time Guerra and Peltier is passengers. Clearly talented but not producing. Cummings come in and take Guerra place, Cato took Peltier's. Plus if Molino is firing on all cylinders after his recovery; or Marcus Joseph, T. Ceasar and Winchester impress they'll be further down the pecking order.

So ... should we consider that letter from David Muhammad as "leaked"?

I can't imagine that he would volunteer to stand by his literary effort.
