Atlanta Hawks forward Mike Scott was arrested on felony drug charges on July 30, per Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Vivlamore added that marijuana and MDMA were the drugs found on Scott's person.

Vivlamore reported Scott posted his $8,100 bond July 31, and had a court date pending. Scott faces up to 25 years in prison, per Vivlamore.

According to Fox 5 Atlanta, Scott was the passenger of a vehicle that led authorities on a chase:

The Banks County Sheriff’s Office said Scott was in a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe that fled a traffic stop on Interstate 85 around 9 a.m. Thursday. Deputies said they were attempting to pull the car over for following too close to another vehicle.  Speeds reached up to 98 mph before eventually stopping two miles down the road, according to deputies.

After the chase concluded, Scott and the driver, Antonn Imhotep Scott, admitted to possessing drugs, and the authorities located them upon a search of the sport utility vehicle.

Vivlamore reported "there was 35.2 grams of marijuana and 10.9 grams of MDMA in vehicle." Vivlamore added Scott "admitted all drugs belonged to him, not his brother. Brother was unaware and took responsibility."

Scott, a 6'8" power forward, played 68 games for the Hawks in 2014-15. He averaged 7.8 points and 2.9 rebounds a night for the Southeast Division champions.

Vivlamore tweeted the Hawks are "aware of the situation involving Mike Scott but have no comment at this time."
