Top 6 in both the Men's & Women's 100m Final highlighted in red will be our relay teams!!

I think our Men's 4x100m relay team is looking better than I expected and can be strong finalist in Rio if everything comes together under Ato's guidance.

Congrats to Michelle and to RT. Also to Sorrillo and SH. If they can peak in time for Olympics we should have some solid relay teams and possibly finalists in the individual events.

Very impressed with Jenea Spinks who made the final at 16. She's one to watch for in the future.

Freeman Octavious  who is she ???

A talented runner from the US. She was very good from high school through college. She even made the US team in 2013. I think she got injured and is slowly making her way back up.

She's American. Has had lots of injuries in the recent past, but is working her way back. Was on their 2013 team for the 100m.

Just in retrospect, putting times aside we have never had such a competitive women's race ever. The fact that two of the participants are still teenagers also bodes well.

Just sad Josanne and Janeil have had injuries in the past. It would be good to have them in good shape. Meaning if we add Sparkle McKnight we have three solid runners in the 400m hurdles who could potentially double as 400m relay runners.

Jehue Gordon improves his performance in the 400m Hurdles Final but is beaten again by the Puerto Rican Eric Alejandro who also beat him in the Semi Final.
Ruebin Walters was doing well until the 2nd to last hurdle which he hit very hard. Hard luck to him but I am sure he could have been in the top 3 if he did not make that mistake.

MLA does the sprint double and beats Seymoy Hackett into 2nd place in the Final.
Impressively 7 of our TTO ladies have bettered the OG standard of 23.20.
Ahye, Hackett and Thomas have secured 200m spots in Rio while KAB just misses out.
Looks like Ato pulled St Fort out of the 200m Final.

Rondell Sorrillo wins the 200m in OG standard. RT just misses the OG standard in 2nd place.

Great final by the ladies! Seems as if KAB hasn't mastered the 200m. She still cannot get to low 22. If she can better her 200 times that will put her in place for consistent sub 11.

Ok time by RS. Just wondering if anyone has dipped below 20 since Ato.

Cedenio takes the 400m national title and Gordon comes 2nd in OG standard.
Deon Lendore secures 3rd place but is yet to run the 400m OG standard this season so he will need to run 45.40 or faster before Rio to secure the 3rd individual 400m spot.

Our top 6 in the 400m Final should make up our 4x400m Relay Squad to Rio which are:-
Machel Cedenio, Lalonde Gordon, Deon Lendore, Jarrin Solomon, Renny Quow & Jereem Richards.

Hardluck to Carlyle Roudette who just missed out on making the 4x400m relay pool.

Sorrillo's 200m winning time corrected for 0 wind speed is 20.36 which is still well inside the OG standard of 20.50.

He also ran inside the OG standard of 20.50 when he ran 20.43 in a legal +0.6 wind in Lexington, Kentucky last month.

Lendore has already run 45.31 on May 14, but it does seem his off season conditioning and strength work missed the mark.

I mentioned that something was up with Quow a month or so ago, he's never been off for Senior Champs, so I can only assume his training may have been interrupted by injury, or his legs are a little tired with age and years of constant racing.

Haven't seen any times to-date that would excite me about the possibility of an individual OG medal.
We should have finalists in the sprints but it looks like medals will come from the relays and maybe a Keshorn surprise.

Let's see what our talent produces on the pre-OG European circuit.
