Widely regarded as the best midfielder in the Trinidad and Tobago professional league since 2004, Aurtis Whitely played the last seven matches of his country’s 2006 FIFA World Cup™ CONCACAF qualifying campaign, and started in the play-off games against Bahrain.

Other than six months with Portugal’s Vitoria Setubal, he has spent his whole career in the local league where he was selected as San Juan Jabloteh’s most valuable player in 2001 and 2005.

He also appeared in the 2002 FIFA World Cup preliminaries and the 2005 Gold Cup squad.
