Sealy's beavertrick sinks Clapham

Keron Sealy scored the first beavertrick of the competition to lead Bay Boys Chelsea to their first victory in the Canaan/Bon Accord Champion's League last Sunday at the Canaan Recreation Ground. Sealy netted two in each half and Alan Forrester added one to lead their team to an emphatic 5-1 win. Irwin Simon scored the consolation for Clapham from the penalty spot.

Previously unbeaten Young Strikers of Whim and Castara Youths met in the Canaan/Bon Accord Seven-a-Side Night Football League last Monday to decide the top team to move into the Big Four Knockout Competition.

Griffith fires Joe Public to EFA Cup win

Rashard Griffith scored on either side of the half as Joe Public whipped Maloney Academy 4-1 in the Eastern Football Association Emerald Apartments and Plaza Cup final on Saturday at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya. Griffith opened the scoring in the 35th minute which Joe Public took into the interval.

Strugglers, St Mary’s in Central FA finale

STRUGGLERS and St Mary’s United meet in the Ramsingh’s Sports World-sponsored Central Football Association FA Trophy final. The action is timed to begin a 7 pm at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva. But before this game, starting at 5 pm, will be the clash of Predators and Leeds United in the Sani Tank League Cup final.

St Mary’s wins Central FA

St Mary’s United captured the Central Football Association FA Trophy after a 4-2 penalty kicks win over Strugglers in the final on Monday night at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva. Both teams had battled to a 0-0 draw at the end of the 90-minutes regulation time which was dominated by Strugglers.

Jah United, LVT reach Freedom Cup finals

Jah United and LVT will meet in the final of the Freedom Cup (No More Borders sporting initiative) at St Paul Street Indoor Complex, East Port-of-Spain tonight (Sat), from 7.30 pm. United earned its spot in the final when it beat Barcelona 2-1 on penalties on November 29 while LVT beat Phase II 2-1 on December 1 in its semifinal.

Jah Unit wins Freedom Cup

Jah Unit is the winner of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs (MSYA) sponsored Freedom Cup… No More Borders Football Tournament. The Basilon Street boys captured the title by beating LVT of St Barb’s 1-0 in the final on Friday at St Paul Street Multi Purpose Sporting Complex.

Los Bajos cop Southwest Superleague football title

Los Bajos United are the champions of the Southwest Superleague. On Sunday they defeated Newcomers in the final 4-3 on penalty kicks at the Apex Club Ground after the match ended goalless.
