ECFU kicks off Sunday in Matura

Matura Re-United and Guaya United will kick off the 2012/2013 Eastern Counties Football Union (ECFU) season at the Matura Recreation Ground, Matura, on Sunday from 4 pm for the President’s Trophy.
In the second match of the day’s double-header—a veterans clash—Matura Twinkles and Sweaters Touring Team will do battle from 6.15 pm.
Expected to be in attendance for the opening, is president of the T&T Football Federation, Lennox Watson, who will meet the players before the kick-off of the feature match.
Clubs and persons affiliated to the ECFU are also being reminded to submit the names of participants for the Leadership Workshop Programme on or before July 17.
