Rio Claro United FC will take a two points lead into the Eastern Counties Football Union Christmas break after trouncing North East Stars 3-0 at Shell Recreation Ground, Rio Claro on Sunday.
The win was the sixth from eight matches for Rio Claro to lead with 18 points, two more than Biche FC which blanked Damarie Hil FC 3-0 at Biche Recreation Ground.
Matura Reunited, third with 15 points, but from six matches, missed its chance to stay top after its scehduled encounter against fourth placed Damarie Hill United, (14 points from seven matches) was postponed. The league will resume on January 4.
