A second-minute strike from Rundel Winchester, moved his team into fourth in the 12-team table, while shocking Joe Public, a team that won three major titles last season.

Consequently, Joe Public, which could have taken top spot as league leader Westside Superstars saw its match against WASA FC abadoned due to a waterlogged pitch, remained in second with its second loss of the season.

Westside remained on top by two points, followed by Joe Public (17 points) and WASA (16 points). In other matches, 1976 FC Phoenix rebounded from its narrow loss to Joe Public last weekend to defeat an improving 1st FC Santa Rosa 3-2, thanks to a final minute goal from Andel Noray.

Darrin Mitchell and Le’Jandro Williams both scored to give Phoenix a 2-0 lead by the half-hour mark, before Danilo Silva and Simba Aberdeen scored late in the first half for Santa Rosa to keep the scores level at 2-2 at the break.

The match seemed all but heading in the way of Phoenix’s first draw of the season, before Noray stole all three points for the Tobago team, with his first goal of the season.
