AKINI FERGUSON netted a pair as D’ Lime Bar Goal City thrashed Siparia Spurs 5-0 at the Plymouth Recreation Ground on Wednesday in the First Round of the Super League Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) FA Trophy Qualifiers.

Ferguson got his name on the scoresheet in the 41st and 85th minutes, while Seon Barry (28th), Kurt Eastman (30th) and Kerlon Ferguson (67th) contributed one apiece.

Another team registering a comfortable victory was Petrotrin Palo Seco, who strolled past 1976 FC Phoenix 4-1 at the Palo Seco Velodrome.

Samuel John (seventh and 21st) and Darren Alexis (39th) gave Palo Seco a 3-0 lead before Lejandro Williams pulled one back in the 41st. However, Palo Seco restored their three-goal lead when Corey Cyrus netted in the 88th.

Ex-national defender Makan Hislop converted a 25th minute penalty as Bethel United eliminated Coosal’s Las Lomas United 1-0 at Montgomery, while Guaya United prevailed 3-2 in kicks from the penalty spot over FC Santa Rosa at the Guayaguayare Recreation Ground, after the scores were locked at 0-0 at the end of regulation time.

Real Maracas earned a 3-0 victory, by default, against Malabar FC but two other games did not play on Wednesday – Defence Force versus WASA at Macqueripe Youth Camp and NLCB La Horquetta SA vs Stokely Vale at the UTT O’Meara campus in Arima.

The postponed fixtures will be staged on October 29.
