Joe Public will win the 2011 bmobile National Super League title if they take three points from their penultimate league match, against Real Maracas, next Wednesday at the Marvin Lee Stadium, in Macoya.

The Eastern Lions are four points clear of their nearest pursuers, Tobago's Stokely Vale, with each team having two league matches left this season.

Joe Public are also close to clinching the Super League double, having already won the Knockout when beating Stokely Vale 2-1 in the final.

On Wednesday, Joe Public rallied from two goals down to earn a vital 2-2 draw with 1976 Phoenix FC, at the Marvin Lee Stadium.

Andel Noray (12th) and Darren Mitchell (25th) found the net as the Tobago visitors built an early two-goal lead. However, a second half double from striker Andre Toussaint (53rd & 56th) rescued a point for the Eastern Lions.

Stokely Vale, meanwhile, shot themselves in the leg when going down 4-1 to relegation-threatened newcomers Real Maracas. Handel Manswell (5th) Aaron Peters (32nd) and Sherron Manswell (34th) all scored as the home team built a three-goal lead.

Deon Thomas then pulled a goal back for Stokely Vale in the 49th, before Dillon Bartholomew (58th) got a fourth for the winners.
