National Champion team Debe Secondary will kick off their South Zone BGTT/First Citizens Secondary School Football League Girls Championship defence against Holy Faith Convent at the David Williams Grounds, Penal from 3.45 pm.

Debe was carded to kick off their season against Fyzabad Anglican on Sunday, however, the match was abandoned with the latter school pulling out of the season without a match being played.

Point Fortin East, which was scheduled to play Fyzabad, therefore, will not be in action today.

Holy Faith recorded a point when they were held 1-1 by Vessigny Secondary on Sunday. Action will continue in the North and East Zones.

In the North Zone, St Joseph Convent will be seeking two wins in as many matches when they take on Maple Leaf International at St Joseph Grounds, St Clair.

Holy Name Convent will challenge hosts Malick Secondary at the Malick Grounds while Providence takes on St Francois at Providence Ground. In the East Zone, Arima North which were 3-0 winners over Toco on Sunday will challenge St George’s.

St George’s will be playing their first match of the campaign as well as San Juan North which will take on a tough task against Sunday’s biggest winners El Dorado East which made light work of St Augustine 8-2.

Toco played the only girls match today against St Augustine in which the both sides played to a goalless draw. Girls League Matches in the Tobago Zone will commence this Sunday.
