San Juan North Secondary grabbed the first national semi-final berth when they edged Trinity East 3-2 in the East Zone final yesterday at the Larry Gomes Stadium in Malabar, yesterday.

San Juan will now play the winner of the national quarter-finals between Tobago Zone InterCol winners Speyside and the yet to be determined North champions to be played on Tuesday at Shaw Park.

East Mucurapo will play St Mary’s College in the North InerCol finals for the crown at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, tomorrow.

Today, there are two finals in the Coca-Cola Boys InterCol competition. The South title will be decided when Naparima, the 2014 SSFL Premier Division and SSFL Big Five champions, continue their quest for a thrid consecutive title when they square off against rivals St Benedict’s College at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium in Marabella from 3:45 p.m. Then at 4:30 p.m. at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, Carapichaima and Chaguanas North will tussle for the Central crown.

In the BGTT/First Citizens Girls Intercol 2014, Point Fortin East tackle Debe Secondary at Mannie Ramjohn from 2 p.m. for the South Zone title. Point Fortin girls walloped Cowen Hamilton by a massive 26-0 margin in their quarterfinal match, before dominating Fyzabad Secondary 5-0 in their zonal semi-final last Thursday to advance to today’s final.

Debe also had an easy time of advancing to the final, defeating Princes Town West 10-0 in the quarters before shutting out St Joseph’s Convent, San Fernando, 4-0 in the semis.
