Reigning league champions Real Dimension and Malick City became the last two teams to advance to the semi-finals of the Women’s League Football (WoLF) FA competition, following wins over Pt Fortin Pioneers and Defence Force, respectively at the double header played at Debe Recreation Ground, on Sunday.

Real Dimension registered a 4-0 thrashing of South Zone winner Pt Fortin Pioneers , through a hat-trick from a brilliant Alania Burgin and a lone item from Natasha St Louis, all coming in the first half. With the clean sheet and a few solid blocks, it was probably Real Dimension goalkeeper Keri Myers’ best showing of the season.

In the second encounter, Ross Russell’s Premier Division Malick City recorded a straightforward 2-0 victory over Defence Force. Attacker Kiva Gresham scored both goals, and did in close proximity in the second half of action.

As a result, Malick City and Real Dimension joins the two other semifinalists Trincity Nationals and Arima Giants. On Thursday, Trincity advanced past the quarterfinal stage with a narrow 2-1 win over St Augustine SC, while Arima Giants did the same with a 1-0 victory over Malabar Superstars. The semifinal draw will take place on Wednesday evening.
