CHAMPIONS St Clair’s Coaching School made a resounding start to the defence of their title with a 4-0 victory over last year’s runners-up Roxborough Lakers in Premier Division action in the Tobago Football Association.

The champions swung into action in Thursday night’s game at the Dwight Yorke Stadium midway through the opening session when Keon Bourcher netted the first of a double.

Denzyl James increased the lead before Bourcher got the third and Jerome Taylor rounded off the scoring.

But Taylor’s Rentals Goal City who finished third last season, were made to struggle for a 3-2 win over Mason Hall USSS in a Wednesday night game at Plymouth.

Kenyon Manswell scored a double and Kaytde Grant got the other for the winners while Stephan Wright and Caston Cupid got goals for Mason Hall.

Newly promoted 1976 FC Phoenix held on for a 2-2 draw with Charlotteville Unifiers, getting goals from Chevorne Alleyne and Raunille Rivers. Kevern Murphy and Garvin McKenna netted for Unifiers.

But the other promoted team, Lambeau United were edged 5-4 by Sidey’s in a high-scoring match.

Ryan Gray and Kester Kent scored twice each while Shan Gray got the other goals for Sidey’s and Anson Campbell got a double with Alon Forester and Dillon Dennis scoring the other goals for Lambeau.
