One of this country’s more promising young footballers and captain of the country’s two prior Youth World Cup teams has opted to take up a four-year football scholarship at the University of South Florida.

On a night were the temperature reached 54F the match between the Trinidad and Tobago Under 23 Team and the Premier Division champions Devonshire Cougars got underway.

National Under-20 and 23 coach Zoran Vranes has resumed preparations of the T&T Olympic team with two sessions per week at the Larry Gomes Stadium geared towards the Central American and Caribbean Games (CAC) in Puerto Rico in July.

Star player Domico Coddington is back in Devonshire Cougars' lineup and not a moment too soon as the Big Cats face off against Trinidad and Tobago's Under 23 squad tonight at the National Sports Centre.

Bermuda started off strong with a good build up that resulted in Curtis Gonzales the Trinidad defender bringing down Shane Hollis in the box, and Hollis picked himself up to convert from the penalty spot to give Bermuda the lead in the second minute.

The third and final match of this Trinidad tour of Bermuda got underway with the visitors attacking with the wind at their backs.

Head coach Zoran Vranes will have a chance to see how some his new selections fare on the international stage over the next week as he heads out with an 18-man Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Team to Bermuda on Saturday morning.
