Juma (first in the picture) with his former team Hacettepe SK.Trinidad and Tobago Under-23 striker Juma Clarence left for Turkey yesterday to try and reignite his professional career in Europe.

Clarence played for half of the 2009/2010 Turkish season with Hacettepe SK after signing in March 2010, but returned home after the club was relegated.

His move there followed an impressive showing for T&T at the 2009 Fifa Under-20 World Cup where he scored in a 2–1 loss to Italy.

He returned home and joined the T&T Under-23 team and also trained with the T&T senior team, making his senior international debut in a 1–0 win over Antigua/Barbuda last year.

“Well it’s a good opportunity to go back to Europe and try to get my club career going again. I’m prepared to work hard and hopefully secure a contract.

My first season in Turkey was a good one…a learning period and I know the conditions there. I’m hoping to settle even faster this time and get into a habit of playing first team European football,” Clarence said yesterday.

“I’ll be at three clubs over the whole trip and then a decision will be made based on any offers that are made,” Clarence added.
