#10 - Jerrel Britto,Seventeen year-old midfielder Jomal Williams has earned himself a call-up with the Trinidad and Tobago U23 training squad in preparations for the November 26-28 final phase of Caribbean qualifying for the 2012 London Olympic Games.

The Caribbean qualifiers will join Canada, Mexico and the United States and three Central American qualifiers who will battle for two Olympic spots.

Although it puts a dent in W Connection training programme, having eight of its senior team players with the T&T U-23 team, the ‘Savonetta Boys’ head coach Stuart Charles Fevrier expressed satisfaction in supporting Trinidad and Tobago at National level.

“I will not prevent the players from playing on the national team,” he said.

“I will just have to cope with it. I always encourage my players to be ambitious and try to play for their country. Although it sometimes affects our programme, I never try and prevent them because it must be a player’s dream.

We see it as our duty. We have always supported the National programme and the national teams must support the clubs as well.”
