FC SANTA ROSA moved to a five-point lead at the top of the Premiership Division of the Emerald Apartments and Plaza-sponsored Eastern Football Association the easy way, when action resumed.

The leaders, now on 30 points, got three points when Prisons defaulted their match on Friday.

But FC Maloney had to struggle for a 5-4 victory in a mid-table clash with Malabar FC.

Casey Latapy sent the Malabar team into a 10th minute lead only for Nathan Lewis to equalise in the 24th.

Kevon Cornwall restored the Malabar lead 2-1 when he netted in the 28th, but Lewis got the second of a hat-trick in the 40th for yet another equalising goal.

Latapy scored his second in the 60th for Malabar to lead a third time 3-2, but Lewis completed his trick with a 66th minute equaliser.

Malabar surged back into the lead 4-3 when Cornwall scored in the 80th, but Kerron Clarke smashed home a double for Maloney, his first in the 75th minute to make it 4-4 then grabbed the winner in the 86th.
