Digicel Pro League Championship contenders W Connection and Caledonia AIA have been drawn to face each other in the semi-final round of the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation FA Trophy competition from 6:15pm on Sunday at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium.

Also revealed on Wednesday’s semi-final draw at the President’s Box of the Queen’s Park Oval, last season’s Pro League champions Defence Force will take on Super League side WASA FC from 4pm at the Marabella venue.

Connection crushed Scarborough Secondary 5-0 last Sunday in the quarterfinal round with strikers Hashim Arcia and Jerrel Britto doing the demolishing.

Arcia netted a hattrick (33rd, 50th and 55th minutes) and Britto a double (40th and 85th minutes) to put the Stuart Charles Fevrier coached side one step closer to the Final.

Connection wasn’t the only side to register a handful last weekend, as Defence Force slammed a 5-0 win over Super League side St. Francois Nationals. Josimar Belgrave notched a first half double (27th and 45th minutes) and Jemel Sebro (18th minute), Jahvon Neptune (65th minute) and Ross Russell Jr. (77th minute) had an item each.

Caledonia also made easy of its quarterfinal opponent, defeating Super League champs Joe Public 2-0 with Devorn Jorsling (34th minute) and Ataullah Guerra (73rd minute) the scorers.

Meantime WASA defeated O.J. Soldado 3-1 to join the semi-final pool. Fabien Garcia netted twice (37th and 43rd minutes) and Shane Calderon in the 74th minute for WASA while Anderson Smart (70th minute) registered the Soldado item.
