Arcelor Mittal will face T&TEC in the SIS Industrial Football League 2015 final. The "Power Boys" held on to register a 3-2 win over PLIPDECO, while Mittal also had to work hard for their final berth narrowly beating Nu Iron 1-0.

Both T&TEC and PLIPDECO seemed evenly matched as both teams started cautiously with most of the action taking place in midfield. Few chances were created in the first half, with their respective defences holding firm. Things all changed in the second period, as both teams played with more urgency. T&TEC broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute when play-maker Kevon Woodley breached the PLIPDECO defence and got his shot past their keeper.

PLIPDECO’s never-say-die attitude throughout the tournament was evident from the restart after the first goal. Ajamu Matterson scored the equalised, however T&TEC went ahead again through Quammie Knights minutes later. Woodley scored again in the 84th minute to double the T&TEC lead.

However, with two minutes left, PLIPDECO’s Matterson scored his second to reel in the lead and create a tense ending for the T&TEC fans. T&TEC valiantly held on and secured their place in the final, winning 3-2.

Nu Iron and Arcelor Mittal was a much cagier affair with both teams' defence resolute throughout the tournament. NU IRON’s usual all-out attacking flair was countered by MITTAL’s midfield. However, the first real clear-cut chance of the match came from MITTAL’s striker Daniel Patterson and he capitalised hammering it past the keeper, opening the score as early as the seventh minute.

Nu Iron pressed for the equaliser in the second half. Tempers flared near the end, however Patterson's was decisive; sending Mittal into the final against T&TEC. The final is scheduled to be played on PLIPDECO grounds on Thursday.
