CARIB FC and Joe Public, the Eastern Lions, remained unbeaten after five matches in the Premiership Division in this year’s Emerald Apartments and Plaza-sponsored Eastern Football Association for the Arthur “Jap” Brown Memorial Trophy.
Michael Hospedales scored in the 69th and 88th minutes and Ricardo Charles in the 36th and Leandro Subero 66th as Joe Public pounded Valtrin United 4-1 with Akil Paynter hitting the consolation in the 75th minute.
Boss FC, Barataria Ball Players and Maloney Football Academy were also four-goal scorers in the recent round of matches.
The Maloney footballers downed WASA 4-2 with Kareem Perry scoring a hat-trick in the 14th, 24th and 43rd minutes and Miguel Alexander netting in the 74th. Marvin Joseph knocked in a double for WASA in the 61st and 67th.
Jeremy Nanton 31st, Valdir Silver 76th, Kendell John 80th and Anthony Gay 88th scored for Boss in their victory over Scifos who got a consolation from Daniel Reid in the 20th in the First Division.
And Ball Players got goals from Kareem Murphy, 20th, Davon Lynch, 30th, Yashin Porter, 56th, and Usaamah Abdul Haqq, 80th as they out-scored Crowne United 4-2. Aaron Blackman, 39th, and Michael George, 65th, got consolation.
Upper Santa Cruz and Athlletico Sports Institute played to a 0-0 draw, while Malabar Superstars won over Young Lions by default.
