This was announced by president of the EHFL, Eddie Hart when he addressed clubs on Thursday night at the Bally Street Community Centre in Tacarigua on the 2009 season. According to Hart, he and the Chief Defence of Staff Brigadier Edmund Dillon, a past player in the EHFL, will complete the party that will be taking the salute at the EHS this afternoon.

Warner, who is also the president of CONCACAF and special advisor to the TTFF, was given a special award for his contribution to football locally and internationally by the EHFL at their 2008 awards ceremony. Warner was recently re-elected as vice-president of FIFA for his seventh four-year term.

Over 80 teams are expected to compete in the Premier Division, Women's Division and Under-13, 15, 17 and 21 categories.

The action today starts at 2pm with the march pass of clubs to the music of the Prison and Fire Service bands. There will also be four matches on the programme, the highlight of which will be the clash between league champions Parliament FC and knockout winners Bon Air FC for the inaugural Community Shield and 16 gold medals.

The other three encounters will be exhibition games from the under age and women's categories.

The feature contest will be a re-match of last season's league final. Parliament won to register a fifth hold on the silverware. That defeat was Bon Air's only one for 2008.

And despite triumphing in the KO category for the past two seasons (2007 and 2008), Bon Air will want to add the league title to their cabinet after losing in the final the two seasons they won the KO. In addition to the play on the field, there will also be steelband music courtesy of Trinidad All Stars, NLCB Fonclaire and Exodus to name a few.

For the children's entertainment, there will be a bouncy castle, petting zoo, cartoon character slides, and many more activities.
