Top clubs, Jabloteh and W Connection emerged Under-11 and Under-13 champions respectively of the tenth Carapichaima Super Football League on Saturday at the Presentation College ground in Chaguanas.
A lone goal by Rahim Gordon from the penalty spot earned Jabloteh a 1-0 win over Crown Trace in the Under-11 Division final while W Connection turned back Cruz International on penalty kicks after a goalless score at the end of regulation time in the Under-13 Division final.
Both Jabloteh and W Connection received equipment valued $1,000, a trophy and gold medals for topping their respective divisions. In the Under-16 Division, Trincity Nationals and Cap Off Youths qualified for Saturday’s final at the Jerry Junction Ground, Carapichaima, from 4 pm.
Paced by a second-half double from Shaquille Birchall, Trincity Nationals defeated First FC Santa Rosa 2-1. Hat-tricks by Isiah Rivers and Garvin Samaroo steered Cap Off Youths 6-2 past Crown Trace.
