ST VINCENT striker Shandell Samuel had a field day for Malabar FC against Prisons FC in a Round Five encounter of the Emerald Apartments and Plaza-sponsored Eastern Football Association (EFA) Premiership Division recently.

Samuel, who had previous stints with local clubs North East Stars, San Juan Jabloteh and Ma Pau, had five goals against the visitors triumphed 5-0 against the prisons officers.

The forward got his name on the scoresheet in the sixth, 25th, 47th, 67th and 77th minutes in the lopsided contest.

Another team to register five goals were Valtrin United, who cruised past FC Maloney 5-2.

Keston Henry got a pair for Valtrin, in the 14th and 39th minutes, followed by items from Dwight Crichlow (40th), Kennon Osbourne (44th) and Christopher James (69th). Yusuf Perry (75th) and Miguel Alexander (80th) pulled back one apiece for Maloney.

Leaders WASA eked out a hard-fought 2-1 win over FC Santa Rosa, to claim top spot. Santa Rosa, who entered the round in first place, went ahead through Jasimar Ashers in the 36th but WASA responded through Gino Diaz (60th) and Brian Martin (69th).

Joe Public got strikes from Kevin Thomas (13th) and Ricardo Charles (89th) to defeat the table-proppers Upper Santa Cruz 2-0 while Carib drew 2-2 with St John’s United.

Jerry Lewis (27th) and Kevin Amour (40th) gave St John’s a two-goal lead but Carib stormed back through Gellineau Gill (51st) and Kevin Daisy (79th).
