TAVREAN SOBERS registered a hat-trick as Edinburgh 500 crushed Strugglers FC 5-2 as the Ramsingh Sports World-sponsored Central Football Association (CFA) Trophy competition continued.
Sobers netted in the 49th, 51st and 72nd minutes, following earlier items from Atiba Alves (sixth) and David Mandeville (36th) for Edinburgh.
Ryan Patterson got a double for Strugglers, in the 22nd and 55th minutes.
Marvin Manswell scored in the eighth while Gregory McConney netted in the 58th as Harlem Strikers whipped TT Highlanders FC 2-0, while KC Perseverance benefitted from two own goals (10th and 24th) and an item from Kevon Edwards in the 54th to defeat St Mary’s United 3-0.
Perseverance Ball Runners earned a 3-0 default victory over Las Lomas United while Cap Off Youths got the better of Flamengo FC 6-5 via kicks from the penalty spot, after both teams battled to a goalless draw at the end of regulation time.
