WASA FC steered clear at the top of the blink/bmobile National Super League once again, after securing a 1-0 victory over Eagles United, away, at the Homeland Gardens Recreation Ground, Cunupia, yesterday.

Akil Thomas scored the lone goal of the match in the 34th minute, to separate the Water Boys at the top with 37 points, from defending champion bmobile Joe Public and Westside Superstarz, both of which sits on 34 points, from 18 matches, with four league matches left in the campaign.
 
WASA will try to remain at the helm on Sunday when it faces Club Sando, at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella, at 4 pm.
 
Siparia Spurs, meanwhile, continued to impress in its first ever NSL campaign, as it soared into fifth position, following a 2-1 victory over Real Maracas, at the Palo Seco Velodrome, in the day’s only other rescheduled match.
 
Derron Matthews opened for Spurs in the 10th minute, before Marlon Lewis doubled up 13 minutes later. Shane Glasgow pulled one back for Maracas, in the 37th minute.

Joe Public edged Siparia Spurs 1-0 at the Palo Seco Velodrome, on Sunday, to maintain their slim advantage over Westside Superstarz and WASA FC on the blink/bmobile National Super League standings.

The "Eastern Lions" benefitted from a 76th minute own goal to stay ahead on goal difference--four goals ahead of Superstarz and eight ahead of WASA FC. All three teams have 34 points.

Superstarz had an easier time against Club Sando, winning 3-1 at their St Anthony's College, Westmoorings home ground.

And WASA got a goal at their St Joseph headquarters from Jahhan Hernandez in the 34th minute, and then held off Stokely Vale FC to ensure a 1-0 win.
