Petrotrin Palo Seco moved to the top of the National Super League on Sunday, when they registered their second straight win in the competition this year, after a 3-1 victory over Siparia Spurs. Their win saw them replace WASA FC, who lost ground when they were upset at home 1-0 by Police in St Joseph.

The 2015 edition of the competition continued with seven matches across the country that featured 22 goals among them. Club Sando made their season debut after having a bye last week, and the defending champions were unable to register a win as they were held to a 1-1 draw when they faced Matura Re United. Marcus John put them ahead in the 28th minute, however Matura would cancel out their advantage a minute before the half. The score remained the same until the final whistle.

Defence Force edged Real Maracas 3-2 to register their first win of the 2015 season. Dexter Thornhill, Josimar Belgrave and Aaron Lester all scored important goals, as Dillon Bartholomew's double brought the match back to 2-2 with 15 minutes left.

Bethel United, Police FC and 1976 FC Phoenix all registered 1-0 wins. Those results saw them move up to second, third and fourth respectively in the table. Police in particular had a sting in their tail, as they deflated the hype that would have been generated by WASA FC's commanding 6-2 win last week over FC Santa Rosa. The law men went ahead through Real Dedier eight minutes from full time to register their first win of the campaign after an opening draw, and move up to third place.

Marabella Family Crisis Centre bounced back from a 4-2 defeat to Guaya United FC to hammer FC Santa Rosa 6-2. Kevin Modie had an appetite for goals as he hit the back of the net three times to register a hattrick. There was also an own goal in the mix, while Juma Clarence and Reniford Martin finished the scoring in the one-sided affair.

Petrotrin were the biggest winners on the day however, as their 3-1 win over Siparia Spurs moved them to the summit. It was a collaborative effort as three different scorers scored for the oilmen. Marvin Mark, Brent Garcia and Corey Cyrus all scored before half-time in to wrap the result up as early as possible. Andy London scored the consolation goal for the Spurs.

The new leaders will next face NCLB La Horquetta SA at the Larry Gomes Stadium this Sunday. La Horquetta were on a bye for matchday two.
