RICARDO ALLEYNE scored a pair as TT Prisons trounced Petit Valley United 4-0 at the Youth Training Centre Ground in Arouca on Tuesday, in a Match Day Two fixture of the CNG National Super League Championship Division.

With the result, Prisons moved to the top of the 10-team standings with four points, the same as Saddle Hill Hotspur, Queen’s Park and Cunupia, but Prisons have a better goal difference.

Alleyne found the back of the net in the 20th and 88th minutes to complete the scoring, after an own goal in the sixth minute and Lance Haynes in the 18th.

Saddle Hill overcame a tough challenge from the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT ) to earn a 3-1 win at the UTT O’Meara Campus Ground in Arima.

Raychard Alleyne put Saddle Hill ahead in the 27th before Isaiah Mejias equalised in the 55th for UTT.

Saddle Hill regained their lead courtesy of a 71st minute own goal, and Kevon Durham completed the win two minutes later.

In third place on the standings are Queen’s Park, who earned a come-frombehind 3-2 win over cellar-placed Barrackpore United at the Barrackpore Recreation Ground.

Kiel Rebeiro (31st) and Quacy Cooper (40th) gave Barrackpore a 2-0 advantage at the half-time interval, but the Parkites responded in emphatic fashion, with strikes from Jason Devenish (50th), Mikhail Dindial (60th) and Chike Phillip (90th).

Fourth-placed Cunupia FC got a goal from Antonio Calliste after 25 minutes to defeat Xtra Foods Chaguanas FC 1-0 at the Edinburgh 500 Recreation Ground in Chaguanas while Malabar FC rallied from a goal down to beat Edinburgh 500 FC 2-1 at the D’Abadie Recreation Ground in Arouca.

Shaheed John put Edinburgh in front after 32 minutes but two goals in the space of four minutes from Mikheil Peters (65th and 69th) ensured victory for the Malabar outfit.
