QUEEN’S PARK kept their lead in the Championship Division of the CNG National Super League on Saturday, without kicking a ball.

The “Parkites” registered a 3-0 default victory over Malabar FC in a Match Day 13 encounter at the Dibe Recreation Ground, Long Circular, St James.

Prisons FC remain three points adrift of the leaders after spanking Saddle Hill Hotspur 3-0 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium Training Ground, Mucurapo. Getting their names on the scoresheet were Ricardo Alleyne (28th minute), Lance Haynes (71st) and Anthony Parris (83rd).

Also on Saturday, Barrackpore United moved up one spot to seventh after getting past the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) 3-2 at the UTT O’Meara campus in Arima.

Mikheil Peters put Barrackpore ahead on the half-hour mark but UTT stormed back with a pair from Jamal Creighton, in the 46th and 56th minutes.

However, there was a final twist to the tale, as Barrackpore equalised through Atiba Harrison in the 65th and Anthony Charles in the 77th.

The scheduled fixture between Edinburgh 500 FC and Xtra Foods Chaguanas FC was cancelled due to the non-appearance of match officials.

And, on Sunday, Petit Valley United and Cunupia FC played to a 1-1 draw at the St Anthony’s College Ground, Westmoorings.

John-Junior Belgrave found the back of the net for Cunupia FC in the 51st but Sydney Charles knotted the scores in the 84th.

Guaya maintain lead in Super League.

Guaya United currently enjoy a one-point lead in the CNG National Super League Premier Division despite having their match on Sunday against Stokely Vale FC rescheduled.

Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force failed to make ground on the Guaya outfit who have two games in hand, as they drew 2-2 with Bethel United. Jahvon Neptune (15th) and Aaron Lester (35th) netted for the soldiers, while Kareem Robley (23rd and 48th) scored a double for the Bethel team who are fourth from bottom.

WASA FC defeated Club Sando Moruga 3-1 with goals from Christian Young (4th) and Nathan Julien (20th and 45th), while Nigel John (52nd) scored the lone item for Club Sando.

Fourth placed Police FC beat second-from-bottom Real Maracas FC 2-0 with goals from Kemron Purcell (12th) and Jason Boodram (73rd). Meanwhile Tobago Phoenix 1976 climbed to within six points of Defence Force with a 3-1 win over Marabella Family Crisis Centre.

Aqui Raiem Raymond (28th), Stefano Wright (37th) and Darryl Trim (89th) bagged the goals for Phoenix, while Keston Grant scored (67th) for Marabella.

Three matches carded to play Sunday were rescheduled, including FC Santa Rosa-NCLB La Horquetta, Matura ReUnited-Siparia Spurs and Stokely Vale FC-Guaya United.
