The Republic National Youth League continued over the weekend with games throughout each division in the East and North divisions.

At Constantine Park in Macoya, Pinto United SC took an early lead to top the East U-12 standings with a convincing 4-0 victory over Adrenaline FA.

Trailing the table toppers but only on goal difference are Malabar Young Stars. They were able to grind out a 2- 1 victory over San Juan Jabloteh, as Jemaul Aching brought home victory for his team in the 34th minute as he was able to break the deadlock, after Jabloteh’s Shanon Metevier cancelled out Dahvid Lawrence’s 16th minute opener.

La Horquetta XF and Trincity Nationals sit behind group’s leaders with one point each as they both were unable to break the 1-1 first half deadlock.

San Juan Jabloteh’s Under 14s had a much bigger appetite for goals, as they trounced Febeau Government Primary 14-1.

When Shaqkeim Bolah scored in the 15th, his team were already 3-0 down. With hat-tricks from both Tafari Haynes and Kaihim Thomas, San Jaun Jabloteh were in a comfortable state as they scored their 14th item in the 39th minute.

Pinto United SC and FC Santa Rosa each had victories as they joined San Juan Jabloteh at the top of the table but behind on goal difference. FC Santa Rosa edged Adrenaline FA 1-0, while in the other encounter Pinto United FC beat Matura Re United 3-0.

Strikes from Nathaniel Lewis and Dexter Medina in the 15th and 25th respectively, ensured that FC Santa Rosa walked away with three points over Malabar Young Stars in the lone game of the East Zone Under 16 league.

On Sunday, North Zone Group “A” action kicked off as T&T Maestros International maintained their perfect record with a 3-2 victory against St Ann’s Rangers FC. In the other encounter, a lone item in the 21st minute by Jaydon Charles was the decider as Santa Cruz United FA defeated SKHY FA.

In Group “B”, QPCC FA came up against Laventille United in an open encounter. When Isaiah Bobb opened the scoring in the 7th minute it seemed like an ideal start for Laventille United, but that celebration was cut short as the scores were made level when Aalon Wilson Wright equalised in the 9th for QPCC. Things escalated quickly as QPCC ended the game with 6-1 victory.

In the Under 14 division, Santa Cruz United FA and QPCC played to a 1-1 draw. Fidel Raymond’s 30th minute strike was the game’s opener, but just four minutes later, QPCC’s Andrew De Gannes restored parity.

In the Under 16 matchup, T&T Maestros International and Laventille United battled to a 1-1 draw as well with goals from Kashim Alexander (Laventille United) and Antonio Graham (T&T Maestros International).
