Tobago’s Whim Anglican came from a goal down to hammer San Fernando Boys RC 6-1 in their Atlantic Primary Schools quarterfinal clash at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Bacolet, Tobago, yesterday. Whim will now join Arima Boys RC, Tunapuna RC and Bon Accord.

San Fernando boys took an early lead through Michael Rollins in the second minute, as the Trinidad team dominated the early play.

However, the home team quickly got into stride and the goals started to rain. By half time whistle, Omalie James, the captain of the cricket team, got on the scoresheet, as well as Jerry Louis and Tyrike Richards.

Starting the second half with a 3-1 cushion the home team continued to press forward and James, Louis and Darren Jobe also rocked the nets to leave the score reading an impressive 6-1 at the end of regulation time.

Whim, who is the defending champion in the Atlantic Primary Schools Cricket League, will now have a great chance to also take the football title. It opposes Arima Boys at the Dwight Yorke Stadium on Thursday at 10 am.

On Wednesday, the other boys semifinals will be played with Bon Accord taking on Tunapuna RC at noon at the Dwight Yorke Stadium. In the girls section, Pentecostal Life and Light will play Lower Cumuto at Dwight Yorke Stadium at 10 am and Londenville Government will play Branch River RC at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium from 10 am on Wednesday.
