The Atlantic sponsored  National Primary Schools Football League finals will begin on November 4, with the Under-12 Boys category being played in venues all over Trinidad and Tobago.

The Under-15 Girls competition will start on November 5, while the Under-15 Boys competition will commence the following day.

Atlantic, the title sponsor of the National Primary Schools’ Football League for the past nine  years, helps to organise the championship through  an Atlantic Sponsorship Contract partnership with the National Primary Schools’ League, with the blessing of the Ministry of Education.

Over 3,400 boys and girls across T&T participate in this competition during the first term of the academic year.

Atlantic also facilitates a three-day development camp for the top 50 boys and girls coming out of the league for the season.

The Atlantic Football Development Camp, now in its fourth year, is hosted after the championships and is run by coaches from English Premier League club Manchester United. This camp focuses both on the tactical and behavioural development of the players, and the coaching capability of local coaches.

In this way, we are creating opportunities for the advancement of football in local communities, which inevitably will feed into national development of the sport.

Last year’s champions in the inaugural competition for the U-12 division were St George East champions and powerhouses Tunapuna Boys RC, a team coached by their principal Terrence Ceasar.

The defending Under-15 girls champions are Moruga RC, while Eastern Boys Government are the Under-15 Boys champions.
