Atlantic LNG Primary Schools Football League Knockout finals begin today at four venues across the country.

The round of 16 will see the two top teams from the eight education districts battling for supremacy in matches which will have a duration of 60 minutes for the boys and 40 minutes for the girls.

Carenage Boys, champions for the past two years will begin their title defence today against Vos Government at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium in Marabella at 10 am.

Also slated to play at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium are Newtown Boy’s RC and Gasparillo Government, with their game slated to start at 11 am.

At the Arima Velodrome today, Valencia South Government will do battle against Santa Cruz RC beginning at 10 am, while Monte Grande Government will play Guayaguare Boys RC at 11 am.

Down at St Mary’s Ground in Carapichaima, Arima Boy’s RC will meet La Brea RC in what will be a titanic clash beginning at 11 am. Santa Flora Government will come up against Carapichaima RC at 11 am.

Meanwhile, matches in the girls competition kick off tomorrow at the four venues, with champions Carapichaima RC pulling a bye in the first round.

They will meet the winners of Patna River Estate Government versus Vos Government clash tomorrow at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium in Marabella at 10am.

The second game of the triple-header will see La Horquetta North coming up against Cedros Government at 10 am, while the final game will pit Claxton Bay Anglican against St Agnes Anglican School. That game will kick off at 11:30am.

At the Ato Boldon Stadium, St David’s RC will meet Roxborough Anglican of Tobago at 10 am, while Manzanilla Government will play Barataria Anglican at 11 a.m.

At the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Tobago tomorrow, Montgomery will play hosts to Valencia South in the girl’s competition at 10 am.

However, all matches in which Tobago boys schools will be contesting, will be played tomorrow due to flight arrangements.

At the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bon Accord, the Tobago boys champions will take on New Grant at 11 am, while Tobago’s boys runners-up Bethesda will come up against Chaguanas RC beginning at 10 am at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva.
