Cornell to join T&T.Trinidad and Tobago's senior footballers had their first training session in Martinique on Tuesday evening after arriving there on the early morning flight out of Port of Spain prior to their check in at Hôtel Pierre et Vacances in Pointe Philippeau.

And head coach Russell Latapy will welcome one more player to his squad as United States-based striker Cornell Glen will join the camp from San Jose on Wednesday.

There was some uncertainty regarding the player's availability but he has been declared fit by his club following a niggling injury and the player has agreed to travel to Martinique.

His addition will carry the squad number to 21 which means Latapy will have to drop one member heading into Friday's opening Digicel Caribbean Cup opener against Cuba.

"We arrived this morning and have settled in quite nicely and all players were in good spirits going into our first training session.

It's clear that the players all know the importance of being successful in this tournament and they are all keen to get down to the business of football in what I undoubtedly the Caribbean's premier football event," Muhammad told TTFF Media.

Latapy also explained the importance of maintaining a winning attitude.

"It's obvious that we want to remain positive throughout this campaign. I think the boys have done that so far and we are maintaining a good team spirit where it's a situation of all for one and all for one," Latapy told TTFF Media.

"We'll be monitoring the players closely. There are a couple who didn't train fully in our last session at home but the medical team has assured me that they will be fully fit in time for Friday's game," he added.

Grenada and Martinique will meet in the second game on Friday. Jamaica will face Antigua/Barbuda and Guyana faces Guadeloupe on Saturday.
