Defending zonal winner St Francois Girls’ College continued its defence of the BGTT First Citizens Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) North Zone Girls’ Championship with a 4–0 triumph over Holy Name Convent on Thursday.
Simone Emmanuel opened before Samantha Kingston bagged a double to give St Francois a 3–0 lead at the half. Della Joseph scored in the second half to complete the rout.
The result put St Francois at the top of the five-team standings on goal difference with two wins in as many matches, level with St Joseph’s Convent which defeated Providence Girls 6–5 in a goal-fest. St Francois whipped Tranquility Secondary 5–1 in the season opener last week.
Down South, Debe Secondary also recorded its second win when it defeated rivals Vessigny 2–0 to go clear at the top while Fyzabad suffered another loss (1–0) to Point Fortin East.
