Defending national and South Zone champions Debe High got one step closer to successfully defending their title when they beat El Dorado East Secondary 1–0 in the semifinal of the BG T&T Secondary Schoolgirls Football League at the San Juan North ground, Bourg Mulatresse, Lower Santa Cruz, yesterday.

Debe took the lead via a goal by Kayla Taylor in the 20th minute and held on to it until the end. They will face Tobago champion Roxborough Secondary in the final at the Hasely Crawford Stadium on October 29. Roxborough edged North Zone winner St Francois Girls’ College 3–2 in the first semifinal on Sunday.
