Carlon Huges of Mayaro and Princes Town’s Cillon Moore both scored hat tricks as their teams recorded wins in the South Zone of the Secondary Schools Football League yesterday.

Mayaro were 3-1 victors over Fyzabad in Mayaro, while Princes Town beat Moruga 5-1 in Princes Town. Defending zonal champions and current leaders Naparima recorded a slender 1-0 win over Pleasantville on an 87th minute item from Kern Peters at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium. Kern Peters used his head to telling effect placing his uncontested header of a left side Javed Mohammed corner past Pleasantville Senior Comprehensive goalkeeper Kevin Walker.

Scarborough pipped Tobago table-toppers Roxborough 2-1 to take over the lead in the sister-isle. The Bishop’s versus Elizabeth game was postponed as Shaw Park was being used.

Marvin Manswell, Kevon Lallo and Jesse Stewart each scored three goals as Central leaders Presentation drubbed Chaguanas 15-0 at Chaguanas’ home ground. At the Ato Boldon Stadium, Carapichaima, who are just three points behind “Pres” in second place, whipped Union Claxton 4-0.
