Naparima College maintained their lead in the BGTT/First Citizens Secondary Schools Football League Premier Division yesterday when they put three past St Augustine Secondary at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium in Marabella.

"Naps" saw their way past the "Green Machine" 3-1, while their nearest challenger San Juan North Secondary lost 3-2 at home to Presentation College San Fernando, who now move up to second place.

Carapichaima East Secondary beat Trinity East 2-0, while Trinity College Moka drew 2-2 with Shiva Boys Hindu College. St Anthony's College won 3-1 against Fyzabad Secondary, while St Benedict's College were 3-0 victors over Speyside High.

The spectacle of the day was up North however, as Queen's Royal College came to life in the "derby" as they whipped St Mary's College 3-0 at Serpentine Road, St Clair.

The cool conditions allowed for a fast-paced first half, and the hosts had more of the ball in the first five minutes. Daniel Conocchiari swung an out-swinging corner onto the head of Aaron Skeene, who headed over as CIC stated their intent early on.
