LEADERS Presentation College San Fernando and defending champions Naparima College will lock horns in a southern clash when the seventh round of the Shell/First Citizens Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) kicks off today from 3.40 pm.

Presentation have five wins from their six matches and lead the standings with 15 points, while Naparima are in a three-way tie for second place on 13 points with Shiva Boys and St Anthony’s.

If Naparima can snatch a victory at their home ground at Lewis Street, San Fernando and other results go their way they will move to the top of the standings.

The match may be a low-scoring contest as both teams have defended well this season.

Presentation have allowed five goals in six matches, while Naparima have allowed four goals in five matches.

In another top contest in south second placed Shiva Boys will face off against fifth-placed Fyzabad at the latter’s home ground.

It has been tough going for the north schools this season with three of the bottom four teams coming from the north zone. Queen’s Royal College (QRC) and Fatima College will battle at the QRC Ground in St Clair with both teams desperate for a win. QRC are in 13th position with two points, while Fatima are in 12th position on four points.
