Presentation College Chaguanas beat Couva East yesterday to advance to the Central Zone semi-finals as action continued in the Coca Cola Intercol Zonal Quarterfinals at Carapichaima School Ground. Presentation College saw off a spirited Couva East 2-1 to book their place in the next round. Also, Chaguanas North shut out Miracle Ministries 2-0 at Couva East School Ground.
And in the day’s final fixture, Gasparillo eased past Tabaquite 2-0 at Edinbrugh 500 in Chaguanas to progress to the last four in the Central Zone.
Action resumes on Monday with the South and North Zonal Quarter-finals. Princes Town West meet Vessigny Secondary in the first match of a doubleheader at Mahaica Oval while Shiva Boys battle St Benedict’s College.
In the North, East Mucurapo face Diego Martin at St Anthony’s College ground in Westmoorings while Trinity College come up against Tranquillity Secondary at Fatima Grounds, Mucurapo.
