Ryan Radellant and Aadil Abdul-Hakeem both scored beaver tricks to lead a rampant St Mary’s College to a 19-0 mauling of Belmont Secondary in their preliminary round clash to kick off the North Zone Secondary Schools Football League Coca-Cola Inter-Col at St Mary’s College Ground, Serpentine Road, St Clair on Monday.

Radellant got his goals in the 17th, 21st, 25th, and 45th minutes while Abdul-Hakeem found the back of the net in the 55th, 71st, 83rd, and 90+1 minutes in the lopsided contest with Elijah Wong (14th, 33rd, 53rd) and captain Kyle Phillip (38th, 42nd, 88th) adding hat tricks.

There were also two goals each for Kristian James (50th & 59th), and Jaeden Bobb (57th & 74th) with Dusan Cooper, the other scorer in the 35th as they stormed into the quarterfinals where they will battle East Mucurapo Secondary at Queen’s Royal College Ground on Friday from 3.30 pm.

Also yesterday, not far away at Queen’s Royal College Ground, host QRC got hat tricks from Micah Nelson, and Mussadiq Mohammed in an 11-0 hammering of Diego Martin Central Secondary.

The quintet of Kerry Baptiste Jr, Tau Lamsee, Zion Aberdeen, Philip Nelson, and Jayden Christopher chipped in with a goal each for the Royalians to set up a zonal quarterfinal encounter with Malick Secondary on Friday at St Anthony’s College Ground, Westmoorings.

In the other North preliminary round match host Blanchisseuse Secondary got a second-half strike from Aaron Marcano to edge Mucurapo West Secondary 1-0 and will next face St Anthony’s College at Fatima College Ground, Mucurapo Road, also on Friday.

Recently crowned National Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Premiership Division champions Fatima will kick off the defense of their National Inter-Col crown in the North Zone quarterfinal round on Friday against the winner of the preliminary round clash between Trinity College and Tranquillity Secondary School which will be played today at Moka, Maraval from 3:30 pm after it was postponed by 24 hours due to the inclement weather.

In other matches yesterday, El Dorado West Secondary got the better of Five Rivers Secondary 4-2 on penalty kicks after an entertaining 4-4 draw in the East Zone while in the South Zone, Siparia West Secondary blanked Princes Town West Secondary 3-0, and Point Fortin East Secondary battled past ASJA Boys College of San Fernando 5-4 via penalties after a tense 1-1 deadlock.
