St Augustine Secondary have a chance to move up the table to second spot in the East Zone standings of the BG T&T/First Citizens Secondary Schools Football League when they travel to Toco for today's 3.45 p.m. encounter.

The defending "Big Five" champions stuttered to a 0-0 draw in their opening fixture on Saturday at home to Arima North Secondary and are currently joint fifth with the Arimians.

Today, they face a smarting Toco Secondary, who were clobbered 6-0 by San Juan North Secondary on Saturday but sit second on the table owing to their 2-0 win over Barataria South Secondary last week.

The "Green Machine" of St Augustine missed their first match because of a shortage of referees, but victory over Toco could put them in good stead as they seek to retain the East title.

The Express learned yesterday that the SSFL met on Monday with the TTFF referees committee to iron out issues with the unavailability of match officials.

However, the postponed matches featuring St Augustine and El Dorado East Secondary, as well as Arima North versus San Juan North, will not be replayed until the end of the zonal League competition.

Arima will host Barataria South today, while San Juan North play at home against Trinity College East.

In the North Zone, St Anthony's College will go for their third win in as many matches at Trinity College in Moka, while East Mucurapo tackle pointless Fatima College, with a shot at first place if St Anthony's fail to win.

Down South, the action is also interesting with the top four teams on three points apiece.

Leaders Vessigny Secondary can lose that position if they drop points at home to fourth-placed Presentation College San Fernando, whom they face at Mahaica Oval.

Pleasantville and Shiva Boys Hindu College, who occupy second and third respectively, clash with Princes Town West (3 p.m.) and Naparima College (5 p.m.), respectively, in a Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella double-header.

Tobago Zone and Central Zone also kick off today.

Tobago's defending champions Signal Hill, who also won the 2010 RBTT InterCol title, go up against Speyside Secondary, while last year's Central Zone winners, Carapichaima, are tipped to get off to a winning start at home to Tabaquite Secondary.

All matches, aside from the "Mannie Ramjohn" double-header, kick off at 3.45 p.m.
