Kerron Phillips and Brandon Benjamin were both on target with a double for their respective teams when Georgia FC and Sidey’s FC played to a draw in a top-of-the-table clash in the Tobago Football Association (TFA) Premier Division, at the River Bank Oval, Georgia, on Sunday.
The draw ended Sidey’s two match winning streak, but saw it remain on the top of the standings with seven points, the same number of points with Georgia and Bethel United but with a greater goal difference.
Sider’s also remains with a match in hand. Mason Hall, meanwhile remained the only team to maintain a winning streak, albeit with only two matches played. Dwane Murray scored a brace, while Danny Pantin scored a lone goal in a 3-1 win over mid-table Roxborough Lakers.
Mason Hall is the only team out of 25 in the three Tobago divisions to win all of its matches thus far. A day prior, Signal Hill dropped Leeds United 5-1 to go top of the Championship Division standings. Michael Frederick bagged a hat-trick in that encounter.
