Goal City FC went within two points of claiming the Tobago Football Association (TFA) Premier Division title, on Sunday, after the team completed a 3-1 victory over 1976 FC Phoenix, in Moriah.

Kayode Legall, Sherlon Phillips and Makes Jackson were all on target for Goal City as the team extended its lead to five points over Mason Hall, with one match remaining.

Mason Hall was not in action on Sunday, and with a match in hand, the team must win its next two matches and hope Goal City fails to wins final fixture.

With its rained out fixture, Mason Hall’s meeting against Lambeau FC has been rescheduled for Friday, while its last originally scheduled league match takes place tomorrow (Wednesday) against Roxborough, at Moriah in a (second) double-header fixture, from 7.30 pm.

In the earlier double-header match, from 5.30 pm, Goal City will take on fourth-placed Bethel United. A win will assure Goal City the title.
